UEH Admissions Analytics

Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Excel

Admissions and graduate outcomes for 59 programmes at UEH, 2021-2025, turned into 3 interactive dashboards for leadership, admissions and academic affairs.

Team of 3. I built the whole analytical product:

  • Designed the dataset from public 2025 figures plus documented simulated history
  • Cleaned and shaped 10 tables in Power Query
  • Modelled a star schema: 4 dimensions, 6 facts, 11 relationships
  • Wrote 35 DAX measures and validated key KPIs against Excel
  • Designed the dashboards with drill-through, tooltips and bookmarks

Course Registration System

Desktop app for managing courses, workshops, classes, learners, registrations and attendance, with reports and charts.

Individual project. Every stage by me:

  • Requirements, business rules and user roles
  • 6-table SQL Server database with views and transactional stored procedures
  • UI direction, mockups and design system
  • 4-layer code (Models / DAL / BLL / GUI) with polymorphic business rules
  • 85 unit tests, 12 manual test cases and a GitHub Actions release build

Student Support Requests

PHP 8, MySQL, Docker

Web app where students submit and track support requests while staff reply, process and report on them.

Individual project. Every stage by me:

  • Process analysis for 3 roles, use cases, ERD and wireframes
  • 5-table MySQL database with transactions and an audit log
  • Responsive UI with dark mode, built without a framework
  • Security: prepared statements, CSRF tokens, upload checks, login lockout
  • 45 test cases passed; one-click demo on GitHub Codespaces

CI/CD with GitHub Actions

A to-do web app shipped through a pipeline that lints, tests on three Python versions and deploys on every merge.

Team of 3. I built all the technical work:

  • Flask REST API with validation and a vanilla JS interface
  • pytest suite with coverage and flake8 linting
  • Workflow: lint, matrix tests, then automatic deploy to Render
  • Branch rules that block failing pull requests
